CONGRESSMEN SUPPORTING STEARNS IN NEW DISTRICT 3 WHICH THEY EACH HAVE PARTIALLY REPRESENTED

OCALA, APRIL 30, 2012 – Due to reapportionment, the new District 3 encompasses seven counties that are currently represented by Reps. Crenshaw, Nugent, and Southerland. These three members have represented part or all of the following: Columbia, Hamilton, Gilchrist, Levy, Madison, Suwannee, Union, and west Marion Counties.

“Although new District 3 includes almost 70% of the present District 6, that I now represent, there are many new residents that I need to meet and gain their support in the August 14th primary, ” said Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL). “I am sincerely grateful for the support of my fellow Florida conservatives in Congress and I appreciate their confidence.”

“Rep. Stearns is a rock solid conservative and he will ably represent the areas I now represent in northwest Florida. I have known Cliff for many years and he is a person the voters can trust,” said Rep. Crenshaw.

Said Rep. Nugent, “Before I came to Congress, Cliff supported me and encouraged me to run. Likewise I support him today. We need him in Congress to continue the fight!”

“Cliff’s investigation of Solyndra is an ongoing headache for the Obama Administration as well as is his financial oversight of Planned Parenthood,” stated Rep. Southerland. “We need Cliff in Congress and I am pleased to support him in the August 14th primary.”
